ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar on Tuesday applauded the role of Rangers in Karachi for restoration of peace in the metropolis, Samaa reported.
Speaking to media at police lines headquarters, Nisar said that DG ISI Lt Gen Rizwan Akhtar played a pivotal role in Karachi during his tenure as DG Rangers. He also praised DG Rangers Maj Gen Bilal Akbar for his efforts in controlling crime in record time.
He added that the government is serious in restoring peace in the city.
Nisar said that government is cooperating with the English officials pertaining to the Imran Farooq murder case. - Samaa
